Catch up on our READY news

While the main focus of our project in terms of developing our READY tools and approach has been completed, this does by any means that the project partners are not continuing to support and grow the READY community. In terms of what is availabile, please once again, be sure to check the Resources section for all you might need for implementing READY in your centre or organisation. You will find supports in English, Slovenian and Swedish. Whether you are looking to watch some videos on our work to date or indeed to check out the toolkit, handbook or session plans, there is a lot to be discovered and even more to be learnt as you investigate and trial these ideas.

READY training with new colleagues in Slovenia

The partners have been busy with their READY commitments. Having developed a Sustainability Plan in early 2026 to help shape the next phase of our work, we are now chipping away at these tasks. We are continuing at the grassroots level in training new people in the READY approach, in our centres and schools, as well as with our local colleagues and peers. There is always a demand for the tools and ideas, especially from those youth workers who are considering new ideas in their work with harder to reach young people.

We have also been exploring new areas in which we can being the READY model, especially within the areas of youth justice. In Dublin, we recently hosted the Minister for Public Expenditure and filled him and his team in on all the work. We almost had them on the yoga mats, maybe the next time...

BYC will also be hosting youth organisations from the north of Ireland for a 2 day programme of activities at the end of March. READY will be at the core of these discussions and interactive sessions.

In Sweden, a meeting was held with Fryshuset to put the foundations together for a new piece of work that would see READY be brought into youth justice projects as a trial, with the idea of seeking funding for a new project.

In Slovenia, exchanges for both young people and youth workers are being planned that will allow for READY training opportunities to be presented to national youth organisations. As these dates are confirmed, we will let you know.

Our groups continue to buzz with updates from READY trainees and activists. Keep in touch through these online spaces and our WhatsApp groups to hear about all these ongoing activities. We are always keen to hear more as to how you are using READY in your work and in your life.
